The mission of the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) is to contribute to the reduction of the individual, social and economic burden of poverty-related infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa.

As a major funder of clinical trials and clinical studies, the EDCTP supports collaborative research that accelerates the development of accessible, suitable and affordable medical interventions (drugs, vaccines, microbicides and diagnostics) to identify, prevent or treat HIV, tuberculosis (TB), malaria and neglected infectious diseases in the region.

The EDCTP has partnered with The Global Health Network to develop this 'Knowledge Hub', which aims to provide researchers with the tools and guidance to enable them to undertake high-quality health research. Comprised of the Protocol Development Toolkit, the Data Management Portal, the Data Sharing Toolkit and the Research into Policy Toolkit, the Knowledge Hub takes a researcher from a research question through to sharing their data and finally taking their findings into policy and practice by following key frameworks.

The toolkits provide step-by-step guidance on how to develop a high-quality protocol, manage and share data, and take the findings into policy and practice. Use the Concept Protocol Crowd Review Tool to invite feedback on your concept Protocol, SEPTRE (SPIRIT Electronic Protocol Tool and Resource) to build your protocol, the Study Walk-through toolkit to help translate your protocol into an accurate and successful study, the Clinical Data Managment System Finder to help you choose a CDMS tool to assist with data management, and Repository Finder to help you select an appropriate repository for your health research data. Finally, key frameworks for taking findings into policy and practice are discussed in the Research into Policy Toolkit. In each section you will find an extensive collection of curated resources which can be searched and filtered depending on their type.

To explore the Hub, click on the buttons or links below to enter each area or focused area, respectively, or navigate using the drop-down menus in the bar above.
